Sergio A. Montelongo, PhD, serves as a Senior Engineer at BioBridge Global since July 2021. Prior experience includes a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The University of Texas at San Antonio from August 2013 to July 2020, focusing on biophysical stimulation and mechanical testing for bone tissue engineering, resulting in multiple publications. Montelongo has also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant, contributing to biomaterial development for bone and dental tissue regeneration and supervising undergraduate students. Earlier experiences include coaching swimming at Streamline Aquatics and teaching science and math at SAISD. Montelongo holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical/Medical Engineering, a Master's degree in the same field, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology, all from The University of Texas at San Antonio.

BBG provides products and services in blood resource management, cellular therapy, donated umbilical cord blood and human tissue as well as testing of blood, plasma and tissue products for clients in the United States and worldwide.
