Petr Samanek

Petr Samanek has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Petr is currently working at Biocare Medical as a Sales Director since April 2022. Prior to that, from 2019 to 2020, they were the Sales and Marketing Director at National Reference Laboratory (NRL- Mubadala), where they led a team of 14 members and was responsible for commercial planning, profit & loss, and trade activity.

From 2015 to 2019, Petr worked as the Commercial Director METAR at Leica Biosystems, where they managed a team of 12 members and improved market share across various regions. Before that, they held multiple positions at Bio-Rad Laboratories, including Director: Life Science Group Sales Emerging Markets, Regional Life Science Sales Manager for the Middle East and Africa, and Life Science Sales Manager.

Petr started their career in 1990 as a Technician at Sentech (SABC signal distribution). Petr then worked in various sales and service roles at Rhine Ruhr (Pty) Ltd and Ilex SA (Pty) Ltd in South Africa. Petr joined Bio-Rad Laboratories as a System Specialist/Service Manager in 1996 and later became an Export Sales Manager at Bio-Rad Laboratories (PTY) LTD in 2001.

Throughout their career, Petr has demonstrated leadership skills, strategic planning, and a focus on achieving sales targets and business goals.

Petr Samanek's education history includes a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Milpark Business School, which was obtained from 2003 to 2010. Prior to that, they pursued a National Diploma (NDip) in Electrical Engineering from Witwatersrand Technicon from 1990 to 1992. Earlier in their academic journey, Petr completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in General Science from the University of the Witwatersrand between 1986 and 1988.

In terms of additional certifications, Petr obtained a certification in "Project Management Fundamentals and Beyond" from StackSkills in June 2020.
