Annelies Cassiers

Annelies Cassiers has a diverse work experience in the field of quality assurance and management. Annelies started their career as a Junior Consultant at De Valck Consultants by Altran in 2011. Annelies then moved to Altran Belux, where they worked as a Consultant and later as an Advanced Consultant in the Life Sciences department from 2012 to 2016. During their time at Altran Belux, they were involved in internal coaching and training processes.

In 2016, Annelies joined Biocartis as a QA Manager for Commercial Operations. In this role, they had a wide range of responsibilities focused on the customers, including medical device release, customer complaint process ownership, post-market surveillance activities, and managing a team of seven people.

Annelies progressed within Biocartis and held various roles, including QC Operations Manager from 2020 to 2021, and Senior Manager QA Development & QC Operations from 2021 to 2022. In their most recent role at Biocartis, they served as the Quality Lead, where they were the single point of contact for quality matters within the external and internal IVD Test portfolio. Annelies also led a team of QA/QC experts and was responsible for the quality budget assigned to the portfolios.

Throughout their career, Annelies demonstrated strong leadership skills, expertise in quality assurance, and an ability to manage complex projects and portfolios.

Annelies Cassiers completed a Master's degree in Biochemistry from the University of Antwerp in 2011. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from the same university in 2009. Annelies began their education at Vrij Technisch Instituut Beringen, where they studied Industrial Science from 2001 to 2005. Annelies completed their secondary education at Middenschool Sint-Jan Beringen, specializing in Industrial Science from 1999 to 2001.
