Bieke van Dorst

Principle Scientist - Technical Lead at Biocartis

Bieke Van Dorst has a diverse work experience in the field of diagnostics, personalized medicine, and biosensor technology. Bieke started their career as a PhD student at the University of Antwerp, where they focused on the use of phage display in environmental science. During this time, they developed a screening tool for cellular targets of chemical compounds.

Bieke then joined ILVO as a PhD student before moving on to Janssen Diagnostics BVBA in 2011. At Janssen, they worked as a Scientist and later became the WP1 leader for the ENIAC CAJAL4EU project. In these roles, they were involved in developing nanoelectronics-based biosensor technology platforms for diagnostic test manufacturers.

Currently, Bieke Van Dorst is working at Biocartis as a Principal Scientist and Technical Lead. Bieke'sresponsibilities include leading and coordinating technical projects to develop innovative diagnostic solutions.

Bieke Van Dorst attended the LUCA School of Arts from 2000 to 2004, where they studied Industrial Engineering with a focus on Biotechnology.
