Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical and firmware engineer with a strong background in developing collaborative solutions for educational technologies. Currently employed at SMART Technologies since July 2010, Chris focuses on hardware development for DViT interactive whiteboards and educational devices. Prior to this, Chris served as an electronics contractor at Science Alberta Foundation, designed electronics for educational devices, and worked as an electronics engineer at Grindcom, where responsibilities included circuit design and software development for forestry control systems. Chris also contributed to academia as a teaching assistant at the University of Calgary while earning a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, following a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
