Stefaan Lefever

Stefaan Lefever is an experienced professional in operational excellence and mechanical engineering, currently serving as the Operational Excellence Lead and Process & Production Engineering Manager at Biocartis since September 2019. Under Stefaan's leadership, a new manufacturing line achieved notable improvements, including a yield enhancement from 70% to 95% and a 25% reduction in cycle time, while managing a team of seven engineers focused on continuous operational improvements. Prior to Biocartis, Stefaan held the position of Mechanical Engineering Manager at GEA Group, where responsibilities included concept engineering and mechanical design for pharmaceutical equipment. Stefaan's earlier career at Philips Lighting involved roles such as Production Engineer and Senior Mechanical Designer, contributing significantly to efficiency gains and innovative production line development. Stefaan holds a Master's degree in Industrial Management from the University of Liège and a Civil Engineering degree in Mechanics from KU Leuven.
