Richard Booth

Richard Booth has had a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of sales and business development. Richard currently serves as the Vice President of Sales, APAC at BioCatch, a position they have held since March 2022. Prior to this role, Richard was the Vice President of Sales, APAC & EMEA at BioCatch from November 2020 to March 2022.

Before joining BioCatch, Richard worked at RSA Security, where they held several positions over a span of ten years. Richard served as the Business Lead, Fraud & Risk Intelligence, Asia Pacific & Japan from May 2016 to August 2018. Prior to that, they were the Fraud & Risk Intelligence Business Development Manager for Australia from April 2013 to May 2016. Richard also held the position of Senior Fraud Technology Consultant & Business Development Manager, EMEA from January 2012 to April 2013. Additionally, they worked as an Identity Protection and Verification Pre-Sales Engineer in the UK from January 2009 to January 2012, a Pre-Sales Technology Consultant in the UK from March 2007 to January 2009, and a Pre-Sales Engineer in the UK from March 2006 to March 2007.

Richard's early work experience includes a role as a Business Developer at Security Partnerships from 2004 to 2006. Overall, they have gained extensive knowledge and expertise in sales, business development, and fraud prevention throughout their career.

Richard Booth has a diverse education history. In 1994-1998, they attended Westville Boys High School, where they obtained a Matriculation degree with a focus on Mathematics, Physics, Geography, English, Afrikaans, Technical Drawing, and Chemistry. From 1999-2001, they studied at Kwa-Zulu Natal Technikon, focusing on Mechanical Engineering. In 2001-2002, Richard attended the Computer Training Institute and obtained a Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert degree in Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management. In 2008, they furthered their education at ISC2, acquiring a CISSP degree in IT Security. That same year, they also obtained a Certified SecurID Engineer 7.1 degree from RSA Educational Services. In 2010, Richard completed the EMC High Contributors Programme in Business Management and Strategy at Cranfield School of Management. Additionally, they hold a CISSP certification from (ISC)², obtained in 2008.
