Miguel Motta

Miguel Motta has extensive work experience in the biotechnology and agricultural industries. Miguel currently serves as the Vice President of Strategic Operations & San Diego Head at Biocom California, where they focus on advocating for innovation and connecting professionals in the life science field. Prior to this, Miguel was the President & Chief Executive Officer of IRP Health, where they developed natural antimicrobial formulations and improved the efficacy of existing drugs. Miguel also held leadership positions at Cultivation Technologies, Inc., serving as the Chairman of the Board and later as the President & CEO. At SGB Inc., Miguel was the Chief Executive Officer, President & COO, and Vice President of Marketing & Strategy, overseeing the production of sustainable plant oils and biomass. Miguel began their career at Monsanto Company, where they held various roles including Vice President of Marketing for Europe, Middle East, and Africa, Vice President of Corporate Strategy, and Chief Financial Officer of the Seminis Division.

Miguel Motta has a diverse educational background. Miguel holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University. Additionally, they participated in an exchange program at the International University of Japan where they also completed an MBA. Miguel Motta further enhanced their knowledge in the field of agribusiness by attending an Agribusiness Seminar at the Harvard Business School Executive Education. In terms of their undergraduate education, Miguel Motta obtained a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey. Miguel also spent a period as an exchange student at PennWest Clarion, where they completed a second Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
