Phillip Laycock

Phillip Laycock has a diverse range of work experience spanning over several decades. Phillip started their career at GEC/CEGELEC Industrial Controls as a Test Engineer, where they completed a two-year apprenticeship and obtained an ONC in engineering. Phillip then pursued further studies at Loughborough University, earning a BEng (Hons) degree. Following this, they worked at Europa Scientific Ltd in various roles related to test, installation, sales, and marketing.

In 2001, Phillip joined Philips Semiconductors Ltd as an International Product Marketing Manager and Group Leader, focusing on bipolar marketing and application-specific power discretes. Phillip then moved on to Photo Therapeutics Ltd as a Technical Manager before joining Sercon Limited as a Business Manager for Diagnostic Instruments.

Currently, Phillip is working at Biocomposites as the Technical Research Director, a position they have held since June 2017.
