Neil Clelland

Neil Clelland is a highly experienced professional in the fields of biotechnology and agriculture, currently serving as a Subject Matter Expert at BioExpert Network since April 2024 and an Advisory Board Member at Converge since May 2022. Previously, Neil held significant leadership roles, including Chief Executive Officer and Commercial Director at NexaBiome, and Non-Executive Director at MI:RNA Diagnostics. From 2017 to 2022, Neil was Head of Commercialisation & Innovation at SRUC, where key achievements included the initiation of a lucrative contract with Aviagen and a strategic partnership with Waitrose. Neil’s education includes a Ph.D. in Quantitative Genetics from The University of Edinburgh and a BSc Honours in Agriculture from the University of Glasgow, complemented by a recent certificate in Private Equity & Venture Capital from Università Bocconi.
