Data Scientist at Biofidelity

Alessandro Tomassini has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and organizations. In 2010, they started as a Part-time Research Assistant at the Sobell Department of Motor Neuroscience and Movement Disorders at the UCL Institute of Neurology. Alessandro later became a Research Associate and then an Honorary Research Associate in the same department.

In 2015, Alessandro joined the University of Cambridge, where they held various positions. Alessandro worked as an Investigator Scientist and Supervisor in Neurobiology from 2015 to 2022. Additionally, they served as a Teaching Associate for the MPhil in Basic and Translational Neuroscience from 2020 to 2021.

In 2019, Alessandro became a Sidney Sussex College Research Associate at Sidney Sussex College Cambridge.

In 2021, they co-founded Transform Dementia Research. Lastly, in 2022, they joined Biofidelity as a Data Scientist.

Overall, Alessandro has developed a strong background in neuroscience research and has also ventured into entrepreneurship and data science.

Alessandro Tomassini completed their education with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Visual Psychophysics from City, University of London, which they pursued from 2007 to 2011. Prior to that, they obtained an Italian laurea (MSc) in Experimental Psychology from Università degli Studi di Firenze, completing it in 2007. In addition to their formal education, Alessandro has also obtained several certifications, including a Data Science Professional Certificate (V2) from IBM in February 2022, a certification in Databases and SQL for Data Science from Coursera in January 2022, a certification in Machine Learning with Python from Coursera in January 2022, and a certification in Python for Data Science and AI from Coursera in December 2021.
