Paulina Powałowska

Paulina Powałowska has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Paulina currently holds the position of Principal Scientist at Biofidelity since June 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Scientist at the same company from May 2020 to June 2022, and as a Research Scientist from July 2019 to May 2020.

Before joining Biofidelity, Paulina worked as a Research Scientist at Base4 from July 2017 to July 2019.

Paulina's academic and research career includes several roles at the University of Nottingham. Paulina began as a PhD Student in Human Genetics from October 2012 to September 2016, gaining experience in various molecular biological techniques. Paulina later worked as a Post-Doctoral Research Assistant in Molecular Genetics from October 2016 to February 2017, where they were involved in the validation of transfection reagents and the in vivo validation of antisense oligonucleotides in a cancer model. During this time, they also supervised PhD and project students.

Paulina also gained industry experience as a Trainee at Prosensa Therapeutics B.V from September 2014 to November 2014, where they participated in the company's internal processes related to drug development.

Earlier in their career, Paulina had internships and permanent positions at Rothamsted Research and Ravimed Sp. z o.o. At Rothamsted Research, they worked in both the Biology Group and the Chemical Ecology Group, performing bioassays and extracting natural compounds from plants. At Ravimed Sp. z o.o., they served as an Assistant in the Physicochemical Laboratory, where they led a small team, performed analysis of raw materials and products, and ensured laboratory organization.

Additionally, Paulina had previous experience in office work and marketing at Bioekspert Ltd from July 2005 to August 2010, where they recruited and advised customers, managed documentation and correspondence, and developed organizing and marketing skills.

Furthermore, they also had a short student training period at Ravimed Ltd in July 2010.

Paulina Powałowska received their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Chemistry/Human Genetics from the University of Nottingham, where they studied from 2012 to 2016. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science in Engineering degree in Chemical Technology from Warsaw University of Technology, from 2005 to 2010. Additionally, they have a certification in Prince2 Foundation from APMG International, which they obtained in October 2011.
