Nickolas O'Very

Project Coordinator at BioFire Defense

Nickolas O'Very has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Nickolas started their career in the United States Marine Corps, where they steadily climbed the ranks from Private to Sergeant. In these positions, they demonstrated strong leadership and management skills, overseeing training, communication, and troop welfare.

After leaving the military, O'Very worked as a Trainer at Labs for Liberty, where they trained service dogs to assist military veterans with PTSD and other needs. Nickolas collaborated with the head trainer to develop effective training techniques and assessed each dog's progress throughout the training process.

Most recently, O'Very held two roles at BioFire Defense. Nickolas began as a Material Handler, responsible for shipping goods valued at $100M to government organizations, including overseas embassies. Nickolas obtained a Dangerous Goods Professional certification, making him one of two certified individuals in the organization for shipping. O'Very later received a promotion to Project Coordinator, where they streamlined projects for the research and development department and facilitated project meetings, ensuring comprehensive documentation of procedures and decisions.

Throughout their career, O'Very has displayed strong leadership, organizational, and training skills, along with a commitment to serving and empowering others.

Nickolas O'Very attended the University of Utah from 2014 to 2018, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. In addition to their degree, they have obtained certifications such as the Certified Dangerous Goods Professional (CDGP) from DGI Supply in January 2021. Nickolas also has a certification in ROOT CAUSE ANALYSIS, CORRECTIVE & PREVENTIVE ACTION TRAINING, although the specific institution and the month and year of obtaining this certification are unknown.
