Heather Cooke

Heather Cooke is an Associate Scientific Director at Biogen, where since June 2015, responsibilities include leading drug discovery and preclinical programs focused on bispecific antibody therapeutics for Alzheimer's Disease. Prior experience includes roles as a Principal Scientist, Senior Scientist, and Scientist at Permeon Biologics, which involved optimizing antibodies and characterizing antibody-drug conjugates, among other tasks. Cooke was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Alkermes, designing novel protein therapeutics, and previously held postdoctoral positions at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, studying phosphonate biosynthesis. An academic background includes a PhD in Chemistry/Chemical Biology from Boston College and a BS in Chemistry with honors from Trinity College-Hartford.
