Katherine Dawson

Senior Vice President, Therapeutics Development Unit; Director, Biogen Foundation at Biogen

Katherine Dawson has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and medical fields, currently serving as Senior Vice President of the Therapeutics Development Unit and Director of the Biogen Foundation at Biogen since March 2004. In this role, Katherine oversees a team leading Phase 0 through Phase 3 clinical studies across various therapeutic areas, including Neurovascular, Neuropathic Pain, Neuropsychiatry, Rare Epilepsies, Neurodevelopmental Disorders, and Ophthalmology. Previous positions at Biogen include Senior Vice President of the Therapeutics Development Group and Vice President roles in Late Stage Clinical Development, US Medical, and Global Medical Neurology. Earlier in Katherine's career, experience at Massachusetts General Hospital involved serving as a Clinical Instructor in Neurology and completing a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology. Katherine holds a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and Psychology from Columbia College, Columbia University.
