Kurt Ochalla

Kurt Ochalla, MCR SLCR, currently serves as the Head of Global Real Estate at Biogen, overseeing a 3.5 million square foot portfolio across 70 locations in 40 countries with an annual budget of $220 million since December 2019. Previously, Kurt held leadership roles at Nuance Communications as Global Head of Real Estate & Facilities, managing 85 properties in 28 countries, and as Senior Director of Global Real Estate at TripAdvisor, where the corporate real estate function was established under direct reporting to the CFO. With extensive experience at Philips in global real estate performance management and prior positions in consulting and corporate real estate services, Kurt's background includes a strong emphasis on strategic planning and operational assessments. Kurt holds a BS in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MBA in Real Estate Finance from the University of Connecticut School of Business.
