Pierre Boulas

Pierre Boulas is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in pharmaceutical and medical device development. Currently, Pierre serves as the VP and Head of Medical Devices and Packaging Development at Biogen, overseeing all aspects of device and packaging development across various therapeutic areas, including small molecules and gene therapy. Previously, Pierre held roles such as Sr. Director and Head of Pharmaceutical Development at Biogen and directed analytical development efforts. Pierre is also the Chair Emeritus of the IQ Consortium, an organization dedicated to improving pharmaceutical standards and regulations globally, and has participated in various leadership roles within the consortium. Pierre's previous positions include Director at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Associate Director at Synta Pharmaceuticals, and Sr. Manager at aaiPharma. Pierre holds a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Houston and completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Electrochemistry at the University of Miami.
