Xuan Zhou

Xuan Zhou is an experienced professional in the field of oligonucleotide synthesis, currently serving as Associate Director and ASO Process Chemistry Lead at Biogen since October 2016. With over five years of expertise in oligonucleotide solid phase and liquid phase synthesis, Xuan Zhou has successfully developed a scalable convergent liquid-phase synthesis process for antisense oligonucleotides. Prior to Biogen, Xuan Zhou worked at the University of Texas at Austin, where responsibilities included research as a postdoctor focused on transition metal-catalyzed carbon-carbon bond activation and the total synthesis of natural products. Xuan Zhou holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Organic Chemistry from Sichuan University.
