Jan Muntel

Jan Muntel currently serves as Lab Director at Biognosys since October 2023. Prior to this role, Jan was Head of Mass Spectrometry and Proteomics at OmicScouts GmbH from February 2021 to September 2023. Jan's extensive experience includes a position as Senior Scientist RnD at Biognosys AG where notable achievements involved developing high-throughput proteomic workflows and establishing quantification assays for various samples. Jan also worked as a Research Fellow at Boston Children's Hospital, focusing on large-scale protein quantification and urinary biomarker discovery. Jan began a career in academia as a PhD student at the University of Greifswald, developing mass spectrometry methods for proteome analysis in Gram-positive bacteria.
