Oliver Rinner

Founder, CEO & Director at Biognosys

Oliver Rinner is the founder, CEO, and director of Biognosys. Oliver co-founded Biognosys in September 2008 and set up the proteomics platform and bioinformatics department. Oliver has also been involved in business development and licensing.

Prior to their work at Biognosys, Rinner worked as a postdoc at ETH, Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich from February 2005 to August 2010. There, they worked on protein cross-linking, label free quantification, MRM assay development, and bioinformatics. Before that, they worked on their doctoral studies in psychophysics combined with molecular genetics of color vision at the University of Zurich from November 2001 to January 2005.

Rinner began their studies in human color vision at the Max Planck Institute for Biological Kybernetics in January 1999 and completed their diploma studies in December 2000.

Oliver Rinner is a biochemist who graduated from the University of Tübingen with a diploma in biochemistry. Rinner also has a diploma in psychology from the University of Tübingen.
