Bei Zhang began their work experience in 2001 as an Oversea Purchaser at Softfactory Co., Ltd., where they were responsible for sourcing and purchasing computer hardware and assisting with the integration of an ERP system for Taiwanese clients. Bei then moved on to Index Interfurn Co., Ltd. in 2003, working as an International Purchaser and Secretary to the General Manager. In this role, they managed purchasing responsibilities and handled administrative tasks.
