Dr. Mahmoud Ghannoum

Co-Founder at BIOHM

Dr. Mahmoud Ghannoum has been a Co-Founder of BIOHM Health since 2016. Prior to that, they were the Director of Medical Mycology at Case Western Reserve University since 1996, where they also held the roles of Professor. The Center they directed was a multidisciplinary center that combined basic and translational research investigating fungi from the test tube to the bedside.

Dr. Mahmoud Ghannoum began their educational career in 1973 when they earned a Masters degree in Medicinal Chemistry from Loughborough University. Dr. Mahmoud then went on to earn a PhD in Microbial Physiology from the same institution in 1978. In 2002, they obtained an EMBA from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University with a focus on Biology Chemistry.
