Kim Cardenas

Scientific Applications Manager at BioLegend, Inc.

Kim Cardenas is an experienced scientific professional currently serving as the Scientific Applications Manager at BioLegend since April 2016, where previous roles included Technical Application Scientist II and Technical Application Scientist. Prior to this, Cardenas worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio from April 2013 to April 2016, focusing on immune regulators related to inflammatory-driven colorectal cancer and gut microbiota changes. Additionally, Cardenas conducted research on immune mechanisms in a mouse model of T-ALL during a postdoctoral fellowship at The University of Texas at Austin from August 2011 to April 2013. Cardenas holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Science with a focus on Molecular Carcinogenesis, Developmental Biology, and Immunology from The University of Texas at Houston Health Science Center and the University of MD Anderson, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Biology with a Chemistry Minor from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
