Jacob Clary, PhD has over 16 years of experience in the medical device industry. From 2006 to 2012, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of California, Santa Cruz and a Post-Doctoral Research Associate at LC Vision Boulder CO. From 2012 to 2018, they held various positions at Profusa, including Senior Scientist, Sensor Development, Scientist, and Research Chemist. Since 2018, they have been a Senior Scientist III, Sensor Chemistry R&D at Abbott. Most recently, in 2022, they became the Director, Sensor Chemistry at Biolinq, where they support a team of subject matter experts to conduct R&D to bring a new glucose monitoring device to market and coordinates clinical readiness between Research and Development, Clinical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, and Manufacturing Operations.

Jacob Clary, PhD obtained their PhD in Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2012. Jacob also obtained a BS in Chemistry from the same university in 2006. In 2016, they began taking Continuing Studies courses at Stanford University and completed the program in 2018. In 2019, they completed the Stanford Biodesign Executive Education program sponsored by Abbott Diabetes Care.
