Payton Chu began their career in 2003 as a Development Engineer, Assistant III at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography. In 2004, they worked as an Electrical Engineer at Entropic Communications, Systron Donner Inertial, and GlySens Incorporated. At GlySens, they held the roles of Lead Engineer, Circuit Design and Director, Electrical Engineering, where they co-led the development of the Eclipse 3 product and personally developed the ultra-low-power hardware and system architecture. In 2023, they began working as a Principal Electrical Engineer at Biolinq.
Payton Chu attended UC San Diego from 2000 to 2004, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering. Payton then continued their studies at UC San Diego from 2005 to 2007, obtaining a Master of Engineering in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering.
