Hesbon Nyangena

Hesbon Nyangena is an experienced professional in carbon project development, currently serving as Associate Director and Manager of Carbon Project Development at BioLite since March 2019, specializing in emerging markets and carbon offset audits. Previously, from February 2015 to February 2019, Nyangena worked at EcoZoom as a Carbon and Quality Engineer, where responsibilities included lab and field research on clean cookstoves, product research, and development. Nyangena also held the role of Operations Officer, focusing on project implementation, data management, market analysis, and product testing. Earlier experience includes a position as a Research Assistant at the University of Nairobi from 2012 to January 2015, overseeing field research on improved cookstoves and conducting lab tests to evaluate performance and emissions. Nyangena earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Chemistry at the University of Nairobi from 2007 to 2011.
