Julia Franklin

Julia Franklin has a diverse work experience in various industries. Julia started their career as a Forensic Anthropology Intern at the Smithsonian Institution, Museum of Natural History in 2009. In 2010, they worked as a Community Health Intern at Health & Education Alternatives for Teens before becoming an International Teacher and Teacher Trainer at H.E.L.P. Malawi, where they taught primary school students in rural Malawi and conducted research on sanitation practices and sexual health.

From 2012 to 2013, Julia worked at the Health & Education Alternatives for Teens as a Data Program Consultant and HIV Testing Counselor, providing data entry services and assisting in fundraising event planning. Julia then joined the Callen-Lorde Community Health Center as a Data and Evaluation Coordinator, where they built and evaluated database tools while providing HIV Testing and Counseling Services to patients.

In 2015, Julia joined One Acre Fund as a Program Associate, Systems, responsible for coordinating deliveries and managing warehouse and fleet for the Kenya program. Julia then served as the Manager, Global Inputs, overseeing global sourcing and supply chain of agricultural inputs. Later, they became the Director, Global Sourcing, executing a large purchasing budget across multiple African countries before being promoted to Senior Director, Global Sourcing.

Most recently, Julia worked at BioLite, starting as the Director, Global Operations, where they oversaw company operations including sales and operational planning, production, logistics, fulfillment, and customer support. In 2021, they were promoted to the role of VP, Global Operations.

Julia Franklin has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological Anthropology and Anatomy from Duke University. Julia also completed a Study Abroad Semester in Anthropology and Sociology at the University of Cape Town.
