Ashish C. Bhatia

Dr. Bhatia has extensive experience in drug development as well as medical and device research across multiple therapeutic areas. He has served on the advisory boards or the board of directors of private and public pharmaceutical companies across the globe. His background in both medicine and business is a unique asset for boards on which he serves. Dr. Bhatia is a founding member of a mid-capital investment firm and manages a portfolio of healthcare device and pharmaceutical companies in the U.S. and in Asia. He has served as principle investigator on Phase II, III and IV clinical studies across multiple disciplines. He also serves as a business development advisor to a number of public and private pharmaceutical companies. Dr. Bhatia founded and directed the Department of Clinical Research for a 700+ physician-directed medical group which performed clinical trials in over 17 specialties and contributed to bringing over 20 devices and drugs to market. He also co-founded the group’s Charitable Fund which contributed over $5 million per year in program support and in-kind services related to food, shelter and healthcare to the communities served by the group.
