Alexander Hardy

Alexander Hardy currently serves as President and Chief Executive Officer at BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. since December 2023. Prior to this role, Alexander held several senior leadership positions, including Chief Executive Officer at Genentech from March 2019 to November 2023 and Head of Global Product Strategy at Roche from May 2014 to March 2019. With extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Alexander also held various vice-presidential roles at Genentech related to sales, marketing, and access solutions. Earlier career highlights include leadership positions at Novartis and PathoGenesis, along with a solid foundation in product management at Smithkline Beecham. Alexander holds a Master's degree in Land Economy from the University of Cambridge and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
