Ara Hamamjian

Ara Hamamjian is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in treasury and financial planning. Currently serving as the Executive Director and Treasurer at BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. since July 2019, Ara previously held key positions at Fitbit (now part of Google) from 2016 to 2019, where responsibilities included Head of Treasury & Risk Management, and Senior Director roles in FP&A and Treasury. Prior to that, Ara was a Treasury Director at Electronic Arts from 2011 to 2016 and worked in international treasury at Levi Strauss & Co. from 2010 to 2011. Ara began a career in treasury with Hewlett-Packard from 2002 to 2010 and gained foundational finance experience as an Investment Analyst/Trader at Saratoga Research & Investment Management from 1996 to 2000. Ara holds a BA in Economics from UCLA.
