Mona Scrofano

Mona Scrofano currently serves as Executive Director and Head of Competitive Intelligence at BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc., a position held since September 2021, after previously holding the title of Senior Director in the same department. Prior to joining BioMarin, Mona Scrofano worked at Takeda Oncology from 2015 to March 2021, where responsibilities included leading global oncology insights and analytics, and driving strategic planning for executive leadership. Earlier roles at Takeda included various positions focusing on scientific and competitive analysis within the oncology sector. Mona Scrofano began her career at Pfizer as a Research Scientist in Analytical Chemistry and later held positions in business development and marketing at MilliporeSigma and ZymeQuest Inc. Educational accomplishments include postdoctoral studies at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, a PhD in Biochemistry/Nutrition from Tufts University, and a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from Connecticut College.
