Nicola Fowler

Nicola Fowler is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in compliance and investigations within the pharmaceutical and corporate sectors. Currently serving as Legal Counsel, DPO, and Executive Director of Compliance for BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. since August 2016, Nicola also holds a non-executive director position at Aoibhneas. Previous roles include Head of Compliance for Takeda Pharmaceuticals in the Near East, Middle East, and Africa from 2013 to August 2016, and Senior Consultant for Corporate Investigations at Control Risks. With a background as an Investigative Lawyer at the Serious Fraud Office and as a Barrister in the Chambers of N Valios QC, Nicola is a UK qualified barrister and Certified Fraud Examiner. Nicola holds a Bachelor's Degree in Law from Nottingham Law School and completed the Bar Vocational Course at the Inns of Court School of Law.
