Robert Newell is the Vice President of Global External Operations at BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc., overseeing all external manufacturing operations and the commercialization of medical device programs since September 2013. Previous roles at BioMarin include Quality Site Head CMO, focusing on quality assurance in the Contract Manufacturing Organization, and Senior Director of Global Compliance & Ethics, managing regulatory inspections and internal audit commitments. Prior to BioMarin, Robert served at Amgen in various leadership positions, including Senior Manager of Business Performance and Senior Validation Manager, and held engineering and maintenance roles at COBE Cardiovascular, Autoliv, and PAI. Robert holds an MBA from the University of Colorado Denver and a BS in Electrical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.
