Vijay Raja

Vijay Raja, Ph.D., is a Senior Scientist and Analytical Lead at BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc., focusing on multiple gene therapy programs since August 2018. Responsibilities include managing a team of research associates, overseeing assay qualifications, and developing and qualifying analytical methods such as HPLC/QDA and mass spectrometry for potency assay development. Prior to this role, Vijay served as a Postdoctoral Associate at Weill Cornell Medicine, conducting advanced proteomics analyses to investigate drug resistance in cancer cells. Educationally, Vijay holds a Ph.D. in Pharmacy from the University of Nottingham, along with a Master’s in Oncology and Cancer Biology from the same institution, and an Honours Bachelor's in Integrative Biology & Neuroscience from the University of Toronto.
