Charles Garvin

Mr. Garvin recently joined Biomarker’s team with the objective of bringing Biomarker’s impressive portfolio of scientific research to commercial realization. Mr. Garvin has more than 20 years of experience as a founder, institutional investor, and CEO at technology-based companies. Mr. Garvin served as a founding principal of the Beta Group, a Silicon Valley seed capital firm, while Beta successfully developed and sold a number of pioneering medical devices to large public companies, Puritan Bennett, Johnson & Johnson, Marchon. During the last several years he has served as Chairman or representative of the ownership group at companies ranging from $10 – $300M revenues, including TVC Communications, EK Holdings, and Basic Industries. He previously served as a Vice President and member of the Board of Directors of The Boston Consulting Group, the world’s leading strategy consulting organization.

Mr. Garvin holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School and has done Ph.D. study at Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar. He is a US patent co-holder and author of two books, Beyond Politics and World Without Plenty.
