Carlye Murphy is Senior Vice President of Legal at BioMed Realty, and leads the Company’s East Coast legal team out of the Cambridge, MA office. Carlye originally joined BioMed Realty in 2014 and has 16 years of experience as outside and in-house counsel working on a broad range of complex real estate transactions. Recent transactions include the permitting/development of 585 Third Street into what will be the largest lab building in Kendall Square, acquisition of the 2.3 million square foot University Park portfolio in Cambridge, and BioMed Realty’s $14.6 billion recapitalization by Blackstone. Prior to BioMed Realty, Carlye was an attorney in the real estate department of Ropes & Gray LLP in Boston.
Carlye received a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School and a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University, magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa.
