Dan Landis

Dan Landis has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Dan started their career as a Merchandising Clerk at Costco Wholesale in 2006 and worked there until 2008. After that, they joined the US Navy as a Nuclear Machinist Mate, where they operated and maintained various mechanical, electrical, and nuclear systems.

In 2013, Dan joined BioMed Realty and held various roles within the facilities management department. Dan started as a Facilities Coordinator, overseeing equipment schedules, preventive maintenance, and parts for over 100 buildings. Dan then progressed to become a Facilities Manager and later a Senior Facilities Manager, gaining experience in development, construction, redevelopment, acquisition, financing, and management. Currently, they serve as the Director of Facilities at BioMed Realty, responsible for leading the facilities team.

In 2019, Dan also took on the role of Director of Operations at Surrogacy Journeys. In this role, they are responsible for overseeing company contracts, accounting/bookkeeping, and IT, and is also a key member in the company ownership.

Additionally, in 2013, Dan worked as a Lab Tech at Sequenom, a leading provider of molecular medicine technology. Their role involved accurately entering data into the Laboratory Information Management System and conducting DNA sequencing tests for pregnant mothers.

Dan Landis attended UC San Diego from 2015 to 2016, where they obtained a Certificate in Facilities Management with a field of study in Facilities Planning and Management. Dan also attended Guajome Park Academy from 2004 to 2006, but no degree or field of study was specified. In addition, Dan Landis obtained additional certifications including HVAC Systems Design and Control from UC San Diego Extension in 2019, and a Certificate in Facilities Management from UC San Diego Extension in 2016.
