Dwi Susanti has a diverse work experience in the field of microbiology and pharmaceutical research. Currently, they are employed as a Senior Research Scientist - Microbial Discovery Research Lead at BiomEdit, a microbiome company focused on developing novel probiotics and bioactives for animal health. Dwi joined the company in April 2022.

Additionally, Dwi has experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Virginia Bioinformatics Institute at Virginia Tech from August 2006 to July 2013, and as a Research Assistant at the Tuberculosis Research Center, Department of Pharmacy, at Institut Teknologi Bandung from May 2005 to May 2006.
Furthermore, they worked as a Visiting Scientist at the Virginia Bioinformatics Institute at Virginia Tech from September 2005 to February 2006, where they conducted genomic analysis and immune response characterization for Mycobacterium tuberculosis research.
Dwi Susanti holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Genetics, Bioinformatics and Computational Biology from Virginia Tech, which they completed in 2013. Prior to that, they obtained a Professional pharmacy degree from Institut Teknologi Bandung in 2003. In 2002, they graduated from the same institution with a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.) degree. Additionally, they have obtained a certification in Pharmacy from Institut Teknologi Bandung, although the specific month and year of obtaining the certification are not provided.
