For 25 years, Mr. Burkhalter has hold management functions in the banking industry with UBS and BEKB. He now is leader for BEKB Banking projects.
Besides, he has also several board of administration mandates. For over 40 years, Mr. Bernard Burkhalter has held various functions at different banks.
Mr. Burkhalter holds a diploma in Business administration and the federal banking diploma. For 10 years, he was co-instructor of macro-economics at the school of engineering in Berne such as at Schweizerisches Institut für Unternehmerschulung (SIU).
Currently, Mr. Burkhalter is a member of the Board of the trading and industry association of canton Berne, section Berne, such as business judge at the commercial court of canton Berne. Besides, he is executive director of the Volkswirtschaftlichen Gesellschaft of canton Berne (VWG Bern).
From 1993 to 2007, he was a member of the board of various UBS/SBG subsidiaries.
