Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of BioMelbourne Network since June 2024, Karen previously held the role of Director, Policy & Communications at AusBiotech from August 2018 to May 2024, where significant achievements included driving critical sector metrics and fostering partnerships to enhance biotech investments in Australia. Karen's prior experience includes various roles in communications and marketing at organizations such as the BioIndustry Association and St John Ambulance, as well as a background in environmental policy and compliance at the Ministry for the Environment and the Environmental Protection Authority. Karen holds an MBA from Melbourne Business School, a Certificate in Engagement from the International Association for Public Participation, and a BA in English Language and Media Studies from Victoria University of Wellington.
