Aurélien Griffon

Aurélien GRIFFON has extensive work experience in the field of bioinformatics. Aurélien has worked as a Data Scientist, Technical lead, and Senior engineer at bioMérieux since 2016. Prior to that, they were a Research Engineer at the Centre de Recherche en Cancérologie de Marseille (CRCM) - Inserm U1068. Aurélien also worked as a Project manager and Assistant professor in bioinformatics at the Technological Advances for Genomics and Clinics (TAGC) - Inserm U1090. Aurélien has a PhD in Bioinformatics and Functional genomics and has contributed significantly to the field with their research on gene regulation. Aurélien has also worked as a Software designer and developer, as well as a Software developer during their master internships. Early in their career, they gained experience as an intern at the Institut du thorax and as a seasonal worker at ATLANTIC Industrie.

Aurélien Griffon's education history includes a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Bioinformatics and Functional Genomics from Aix-Marseille University, completed from 2011 to 2015. Aurélien also participated in various workshops and training programs, including an advanced RNA-seq and ChIP-seq data analysis workshop at the EMBL/EBI in the United Kingdom in 2012, a workshop in NGS data analysis at Uppsala University in Sweden in 2012, and a programming workshop on accessing the Ensembl database using the API organized by Inserm in France in 2013. In addition, Aurélien attended an awareness seminar on entrepreneurship and innovation at the Association Grand Luminy Technopôle in 2012. Aurélien holds a Master's degree in Bioinformatics, Structural Biochemistry, and Genomics from Aix-Marseille University achieved from 2009 to 2011, and a Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from Nantes Université obtained from 2006 to 2009. Furthermore, they have obtained a certification in "La plateforme Docker" from Udemy in 2020, awarded by the Docker Captain Program and Luc Juggery, a trainer and Docker Captain.
