Benjamin Hommel

Benjamin Hommel currently holds the position of Senior Global Medical Scientist and Global Medical Advisor at bioMérieux since July 2020. Prior to this, Benjamin served as a Biologiste medical at Unilabs from January 2019 to June 2020 and completed a tenure as a Postdoctoral Scientist and PhD Student at Institut Pasteur, focusing on phenotypic heterogeneity in the pathogenic yeast Cryptococcus neoformans from November 2014 to October 2018. Earlier experience includes work as an Interne de biologie médicale at AP-HP from October 2008 to October 2013 and a Master Degree Student at UQAM in early 2008. Educationally, Benjamin obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in Mycology from Université Paris Cité and holds several degrees in related fields from prestigious institutions, including a PharmD from Université Paris-Saclay and a Master's degree in Biotechnology from Université Grenoble Alpes.
