Nicolas Hegerle

Nicolas Hegerle, Ph.D., is a seasoned expert in data science and biotechnology with extensive experience in pathogen detection and diagnostics. Currently serving as a Senior Engineer in Data Science at bioMérieux since July 2022, Nicolas previously worked as an R&D Project Manager at PathoQuest, developing and optimizing Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) protocols for viral safety and diagnostics. Their earlier roles include Research Engineer at SATT PARIS SACLAY, where Nicolas established a molecular biology laboratory and designed experiments for a biotech startup, and a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at the Center for Vaccine Development at UMB, focusing on glyco-conjugate vaccine development. Nicolas also contributed to research at Institut Pasteur while pursuing a Ph.D. in microbiology, and has further developed expertise in data science through training at Jedha Bootcamp and DataCamp.
