Tetsutaro Sone

Tetsutaro Sone currently serves as the Japan Country Head for Industrial Applications at bioMérieux, a position held since September 2025. Prior to this role, Tetsutaro was General Manager at Haemonetics from January 2023 to July 2025. Tetsutaro also has extensive experience at Hologic, Inc., where the roles included Director & Head of the Diagnostic Solutions Business Unit, overseeing sales and marketing with a focus on cytology and molecular solutions, including SARS-CoV-2 assays, from September 2017 to December 2022. Earlier career positions included Senior Marketing Manager at Halyard Healthcare Inc. in Japan, Senior Product Manager and Product Manager at Hologic Japan, and Deputy Manager at Olympus Medical Systems. Tetsutaro started in the medical industry as Deputy Manager in the sales team of the dialysis product unit at Kawasumi Laboratories Inc., and also worked in corporate planning. Tetsutaro holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Kanagawa University, completed in 1998, with a focus on corporate and investor relations marketing.
