Tom Robbins

Vice President Of R&d Software Development And Data Science at bioMérieux

Tom Robbins has extensive experience in the field of software development and data science. Tom has worked at bioMérieux since 2005, starting as a Software Biomathematician and progressing to roles such as Director of Software Development and Senior Director of Software Development and Data Science. Currently, Tom holds the position of Vice President of R&D Software Development and Data Science. Prior to joining bioMérieux, they worked as a Firmware/Research Engineer at Signature Technologies. Tom also has academic experience, having worked as an IGERT Postdoctoral Fellow and Teaching and Research Fellow at the University of Utah, as well as a Visiting Scientist at the University of Alberta.

Tom Robbins has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University, which they received between 1986 and 1990. Tom then pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Mathematics at the University of Utah between 1997 and 2000. Finally, they completed their education at the University of Utah by earning a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Mathematics from 2000 to 2004.
