Hilary Staples

Hilary Staples is a seasoned educator and consultant with extensive experience in science education, particularly in AP Psychology and AP Environmental Science. As Co-Director of the Marin By the Bay AP Summer Institute since August 2019, Hilary has facilitated teacher workshops both online and in-person. Serving as the Science Department Chair at San Domenico School since 1998, Hilary teaches various science courses and has been instrumental in pioneering the school's 1-1 iPad program. In addition to roles at The College Board as an AP Consultant and as an AP Reader for ETS, Hilary has contributed to biomimicry education through public speaking and workshops at The Biomimicry Institute and previously with the Biomimicry Guild. A consultant for Cengage Learning and a volunteer for Environmental Traveling Companions, Hilary holds a Master's in Education and Technology from Dominican University and a Bachelor's in Zoology and Psychology from the University of Michigan.
