Marjan Eggermont

Biomimicry Education Fellow at Biomimicry Institute

Marjan Eggermont serves as the Co-Executive Director of the UNU Hub at the University of Calgary since January 2024 and holds the position of Interim Associate Dean of Sustainability and Teaching Professor at the Schulich School of Engineering since July 2018. With extensive experience in biomimicry and sustainable design, Marjan is a Founding Co-editor, Publisher, and Designer for Zygote Quarterly and an Education Fellow at the Biomimicry Institute. Past roles include Senior Instructor at the Schulich School of Engineering and various positions within the American Society of Engineering Education, including board membership and chair of the DEED committee. Marjan’s educational background includes a PhD in Computational Media Design and multiple degrees in Printmaking and Military History from the University of Calgary.
