Shay Freilich

Shay Freilich is a skilled research professional currently serving as a Research Associate at Biond Biologics Ltd since May 2022. Prior to this role, Shay held various positions at the Technion Student Association from October 2017 to March 2022, including Chairperson for Graduate Students, where responsibilities included coordinating graduate student projects and engaging with key Technion officials, and Welfare Coordinator, overseeing welfare-related topics. Additionally, Shay worked as a Teaching Assistant at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology from June 2014 to March 2022, leading laboratory sessions in Food Microbiology and Advanced Genetic Technologies, as well as serving as a Research Assistant focused on the genetic improvement of yeast for enhanced ethanol production. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Biotechnology and Food Engineering obtained from the Technion in March 2022, along with a Bachelor of Science in the same field completed in July 2016.
