Jessica Barrale Cao

Jessica Barrale Cao joined the BioNews team as the Director of Social Media in 2023 and works from our headquarters in Downtown Pensacola, FL. A self-proclaimed idealist, Jessica believes in using her knowledge and skills to make a positive impact. She is proud to work with the diverse, mission-driven team at BioNews and to contribute to that mission by using social media to connect and empower members of the rare disease communities we serve.

Jessica holds a BA in marketing and an MA in strategic communication and leadership, both from the University of West Florida. She has worked in various marketing and communications roles with a variety of organizations including Special Olympics Florida, Emerald Coast Utilities Authority, and even an MGM Casino property in her hometown on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. She has also used her digital marketing and social media skills as an independent contractor in the health and wellness niche. Jessica is passionate about personal growth, health and wellness, and social and environmental causes.
