Product Design Engineer at Bionica Labs

Deeqa Musa has a diverse range of work experience in the field of biomedical engineering. Deeqa started their career as an Abrams Scholar Research Assistant at the Orthopaedic Mechanobiology Lab in 2020. In 2021, they became a Biomedical Engineering Ambassador at North Carolina State University and also served as the Parliamentarian for the NCSU Chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers. Additionally, Deeqa participated in a Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program at the Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering at NC State and UNC-CH. In 2022, they worked as a Development Engineer at EmitBio Inc. Currently, Deeqa is working as a Product Design Engineer at Bionica Labs, starting in 2023.

Deeqa Musa attended East Mecklenburg High School from 2015 to 2016 and earned a High School Diploma. From 2016 to 2019, they attended Green Hope High School. In 2019, they enrolled simultaneously at North Carolina State University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where they are currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical and Health Science Engineering. Deeqa is expected to complete their degree in 2023.
